PARCC
PARCC results from the test taken in Spring of 2015 are finally in—and we are so proud of HoLa’s results!
HoLa students far outperformed the state of New Jersey overall in the Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers (PARCC) assessments, surpassing the state’s proficiency average by 26 percentage points in English Language Arts and 22 percentage points in Math.

We are extremely pleased with HoLa's results, as well as with the data that the assessments have provided us. Based on our current school-wide practices and alignment with Common Core standards, we are even more confident that our students are in an excellent position to “show what they know” on this year’s assessments—which will be limited to a shorter, single testing window in the spring.
NJASKAs required by the New Jersey Department of Education, the New Jersey Assessment of Skills and Knowledge (NJASK), was administered to students in grades 3-5 in May 2014,
Below are the proficiency rates for each grade and subject at HoLa, as well as comparison proficiency rates for both the State of New Jersey as a whole, and our “District Factor Group” — a group of schools with similar demographics that the state has designated as our peer group for comparison purposes (as opposed to the local Hoboken Public Schools, whose scores have not yet been made public).
In the tables below, the overall proficiency rates are indicated for each group (% of students scoring Proficient, plus % of those scoring Advanced Proficient), with rate of advanced proficiency indicated in parentheses. As you can see, HoLa students once again far outperformed both the state and our comparison group, with the exception of one category, where we reflected the state scores (and out-performed the comparison group).
